Tell us your best small idea for big business wins
Open your mind to discovering your growth point – the time when you understand what you can do to be even better tomorrow. Discovering your growth point means you have a clear and compelling vision to create your future. This brings you balance for how you spend your energy and you begin to ask the questions that propel you forward as you learn from the past to create your future.
Tell us about you; your background;
With over 20 years of business experience, I am known as an all-in thought partner to business leaders. I am a bestselling author and perpetual learner grounded by the belief that when we take a visionary view of our own growth, we inspire others to do the same. I have coached hundreds of leaders over my time in working for Fortune 500, non-profit organization, and in my coaching practice, Growth Minded Leadership Group. In my coaching, I have the honor of experiencing growth in others as they see, think, and become even more successful.
Business is all about overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for growth. What do you see as the real challenge right now?
Managing uncertainty. There will always be uncertainty and so exploring ways to shift that mindset into what we can control will position us to more effectively plan and respond to the unexpected. While we cannot predict the future, we do have the power to envision what that could be.
On a lighter note, if you had the ability to pick any business superpower, what would it be and how would you put it into practice?
I am igniting my inner passion or fire. I wouldn’t say I am “picking it” because I don’t have it. I choose this as it is something that brings out the best in me. Rather than working with a sense of urgency, I am working with a sense of purpose. That fires me – or lights me – up. Each day I read a paragraph of my book: Growth Point where I share my vision. This reminds me of what I am set out to do, it reminds me about those that count on what I do, balancing my energy and creating intentions that align with my vision.
Our contribution to the world begins with how we
view our growth. By discovering our growth point – when we
identify how we can be even better – we create balance and
focus on what will have the greatest impact on ourselves and
those that count on us. In serving our own growth, we grow
others, and create an experience where we all have a clear vi-
sion of what we want to become, understand how we can be better, and live our best life.
What does “success” in 2023 mean to you? It could be on a personal or business level, please share your vision.
It means that I am making a difference. To see others rise and step into their potential. That I have inspired others to discover their vision for growth and inspire those around them to do the same.
